Richard Haddrill is the Founder and CEO of The Groop, LLC, an investment and advisory firm. With over 20 years leading high-tech public companies, Richard has driven a stunning combined share price increase of over 1200x. He previously served as Executive Vice Chairman of Scientific Games and as CEO of Bally Technologies, Inc and of Manhattan Associates, Inc.

Richard’s background includes roles as a Partner and Managing Partner at Ernst & Young, where he was the Nationwide Director of Entrepreneurial Services. He has mentored 14 executives who became CEOs and served on the boards of eight public companies and numerous private companies. Richard’s expertise spans technology, software, gaming, M&A, and corporate governance.

In recognition of his impact on the gaming industry, Richard was inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame in 2018. He is also active in philanthropy, active with The Smith Center for The Performing Arts, the Boy Scouts (Richard is an Eagle Scout), and the University of Michigan, where he graduated 1st in his business school class.

Cooper Haddrill - Investment Manager
Cooper Haddrill is a dynamic financial analyst at The Groop, where he plays a pivotal role in driving the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio growth. Since joining The Groop in 2020, Cooper has facilitated successful acquisitions and capital raises, providing comprehensive strategic planning and financial analysis to portfolio companies across the nation. His expertise in market research, competitive analysis, and due diligence has contributed significantly to the diversification and expansion of The Groop’s investment portfolio.

With a strong background in financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment, Cooper is dedicated to identifying high-potential investment opportunities and mitigating risks. His collaborative approach and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to both The Groop and the entrepreneurs he advises.
In addition to his work at The Groop, Cooper serves as Treasurer on the board of Share In The Joy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fosters community resilience through supporting children in foster care, victims of domestic violence, homeless and shelter-challenged families, and animals in shelters. Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he achieved honor roll status.

Shelly Piwowar - Executive Assistant
With over 16 years of dedicated experience as an Executive Assistant, Shelly has consistently demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Throughout her career, Shelly has supported several C-level executives in the high pace field of gaming, ensuring seamless operations, effective time management, and the successful execution of high-priority projects.
As a Personal Assistant, Shelly is known for anticipating needs, managing personal affairs, and executing tasks with precision and discretion. She offers seamless support in both professional and personal contexts.
Shelly is pursuing her degree in Clinical Behavioral Health at Nevada State University. Shelly is a mom, Buffalo Bills Mafia member and enjoys spending time with her family. She is a CASA to children in foster care and is an active volunteer for Share in the Joy Inc. in Las Vegas.
